Balaraman said the firm, which partnered with the Kotak Wealth Management to launch the report, extrapolated available economic data to arrive at the current number of UHNIs, their wealth, as also the estimates going forward.

Even though the rising criticism of the country going the crony capitalist way and questions over wealth creation by the few dominating public discourse, Balaraman said the report did not devote any attention to how the wealth was created.

Of the UHNIs, 150 individuals and another 15-20 companies closely associated with the segment like those selling luxury brands and wealth managers, were interviewed to analyse how the wealth gets allocated to different uses like leisure, travel, investments and philanthropy.

In the absence of a good bankruptcy code in India, Reserve Bank is working on a system to enable entrepreneurs seeking to exit insolvent business, a top official of the central bank said.

"We have a tendency in India that we do not like failures. We think everybody should pass and have distinction. We do not have a culture to accept failures.

"How to create that? There is a thinking in Reserve Bank, we have been thinking how to create a system so that people should voluntarily withdraw from an unattractive business," RBI executive director B Mahapatra said in his address on "Managing Stressed Assets" organised by Assocham.

He said it is felt there has to be a good bankruptcy system in India.

Mahapatra said RBI has started working on an enabling system for banks that will help those entrepreneurs seeking an honourable exit from unattractive ventures.

He said here in India the bankruptcy has a stigma attached as, "Nobody wants to be called a bankrupt person...Indian philosophy is that we do not like failures".

This is the most simple and straight forward approach to attempt any paper. In this approach you start from question 1 and go to question 200 in a fixed sequence. A slightly modified form of this approach is that you spend initial 5 minutes to decide the sequence in which you would like to answer the question paper.
 For example, if after browsing you find that Reasoning is easiest followed by computers and then English so you attempt the paper in that sequence but once you start with one subject you attempt it sequentially and completely.

The disadvantages of this approach are
• Since all the subjects have individual cut-off so over-performing in one subject and under performing in another subject is not the right approach. While solving through this approach you may land up in a situation where you may not be able to attempt one section of the paper at all.
• Since you are attempting the questions in a sequential manner there is a possibility that you may not be able to reach the last question. Thus you may end up leaving some questions which are easy and you could have attempted if you would have read it.
